Founded on the principle that every family deserves skilled, compassionate legal representation, Hartwell Family Law has been serving Colorado families since 2008.
Our Story
Hartwell Family Law was founded in 2008 by Sarah Hartwell after she recognized a gap in how family law was being practiced. Too many firms treated clients as case numbers rather than families in crisis. She envisioned a different approach—one that combined aggressive, skilled advocacy with genuine compassion and understanding.
Starting as a solo practice in downtown Denver, Sarah built the firm on word-of-mouth referrals from grateful clients. As demand grew, she carefully selected attorneys who shared her vision and commitment to client service.
Today, Hartwell Family Law is home to four accomplished attorneys, each bringing unique skills and perspectives to serve our clients. We've helped more than 2,500 Colorado families navigate divorce, custody disputes, support issues, and other family law matters.
Our growth has never changed our core mission: to protect what matters most to our clients—their families, their children, their futures—with unwavering dedication and skill.
