Amanda Rodriguez
Child Custody Attorney
Amanda Rodriguez joined Hartwell Family Law in 2019 after working as a child advocate in Denver's juvenile court system. She saw firsthand how divorce and custody disputes impact children, and she committed her career to minimizing that impact.
Amanda's approach to custody cases is child-centered. She works with parents to understand their children's unique needs—their school schedules, activities, friendships, and emotional requirements—and crafts parenting plans that support children's stability and wellbeing.
She has particular expertise in cases involving parental alienation, relocation disputes, and situations where children have special needs. Amanda has been appointed as a Child and Family Investigator in numerous cases and understands the CFI process from the inside out.
Amanda is bilingual in Spanish and English, allowing her to serve Colorado's growing Latino community. She is active in the Hispanic Bar Association and volunteers with Colorado Legal Services to provide family law assistance to low-income families.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her two nieces and nephew, which keeps her grounded in why children's wellbeing matters so much in custody cases.

Child Custody
"When my ex wanted to move out of state with my kids, I panicked. Amanda helped me understand my options and fight for my right to remain in my children's lives. The court agreed that the kids should stay in Colorado. I can't thank her enough for keeping my family together."
