Sarah Hartwell
Managing Attorney
Sarah Hartwell founded Hartwell Family Law in 2008 after spending a decade at one of Denver's largest family law practices. She recognized that families going through divorce and custody matters needed more than just legal expertise—they needed attorneys who truly understood the emotional complexity of family transitions.
Her approach combines aggressive advocacy with genuine compassion. Sarah believes that every family deserves an attorney who will fight fiercely for their rights while helping them maintain dignity throughout the process.
Sarah has been recognized as a Colorado Super Lawyer for eight consecutive years and has been named one of Denver's Top Family Law Attorneys by 5280 Magazine. She has handled some of the most complex high-asset divorce cases in Colorado and has a particular expertise in cases involving business valuations and executive compensation packages.
When she's not in the courtroom, Sarah is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association's Family Law Section and regularly speaks at continuing legal education seminars. She lives in Cherry Hills Village with her husband and two children.
